9Happy Birthday to me! What better way to celebrate than doing a No Damage on my favourite summon spirit, Gnome!
The concept is pretty simple, rush Gnome down with aggressive attacks as he has no Overlimit. Once again, the earth prejudice is real.
Between Zelos' ridiculous normals and Colette's ridiculous Torrential Para Ball, it's easy to string a long lasting chain together which gives Raine enough time to charge Photon. I have Raine delay said Photon by using the often overlooked Shortcut Delay (hold L after issuing a shortcut to hold the release of the commanded Arte) to release it the moment a combo drops so we can start a new one.
The only really tricky part of this strat is landing Demon Spear to end a combo. The girls can prevent Gnome from rising with Zelos, or even cancel his knockdown. I did have a slightly more complex strat where I switched between skills/magic and hold position, but honestly I enjoyed letting the ai go goblin mode for once, whilst I held the fight together with Zelos and Photon. There is also a patented Sketchy, Never Punished James Moment in there too, so I'm more than happy!
