Sorry for the padding at the beginning. I won't always show stats and such, but just wanted to show my level and how it relates to Ivar's. Char chapter bosses scale to your party's average level, up to around 70 from what I've seen, though I will not fight all char chp bosses at high level. The highest advantage to this is that you can arrive at endgame or post-game by lv 70, to gain access to all elemental weapons, which could mean that e.weapon+non-elemental arte = locked in combo(depending on who you're using) and the boss can still be fought on fair terms(well, for Xillia 2 anyways).

Death occurs in one or two hits, so I don't usually get hit. I'm not gonna slap a No Damage tag on it since I can accept getting hit once off some random move a boss pulls off(but not some mistake on my end =01). Getting hit makes things more tense when I play, getting me more excited for the most part.

Err anyway, about Ivar. I've been wanting to fight him 1vs1 since the bs battle in the original Xillia. He is one of the bosses that come with no Iron Stance, so you can start a weakness combo right away, though they may counter after one hit. Two hits have an extremely high chance and three is certainly a counter. Since Darting Claw is my tech-chasing arte and gives her the most advantage because it's one hit and a safer hitbox, it'll always be used as a startup against wind-weakness bosses(Rock Splitter is risky and Tempest Spiral is useless =0( ). His attacks aren't particularly dangerous, except Rending Slash, which has a very quick hit on startup, plus, Terra Spin and Light Spear, which hit around him. Fortunately, he only uses the latter two under 50% HP. Everything else can just be sidestepped with little effort(though his normal atk hitboxes are on his sides too; lost some times to that =01).

It may not be noticeable, but the quality of gameplay might be a bit better than later videos, because I did this today. Also, minor nod to Xiaoyu420 reverse Rabid Lunge whiff.
