Tales of Xillia is the 13th mothership title in the Tales series, for the PlayStation 3 and will feature a theme song called "progress" sung by Ayumi Hamasaki. This is the only Tales game with two separate anime openings: a Jude version and a Milla version respectively.

The game will two main characters, one male and one female, from different character designers (Kōsuke Fujishima and Mutsumi Inomata). Jude Mathis and Milla Maxwell. Both characters live in the world called Liese Maxia, where humans, spirits and demons are able to reside together in harmony. Jude, the former is a 15-year-old medical school student who fights enemies with his fists, while the latter is a female spellcaster Milla, who can summon elemental spirits and defends herself with a sword.
Jude ends up crossing paths with Milla when he's looking into a spirit artes failure at a military laboratory in the middle of the night. They both uncover an army conspiracy, which eventually leads to their becoming fugitives. Milla's elemental powers mysteriously vanish within that period...
