Tarkov’s Newest Meta Weapon: The RD-704
1,659Today we check out the RD-704, Tarkov’s latest weapon chambered in 7.62x39. With stats rivaling that of the Mutant, the RD is yet another top tier weapon due to its low recoil, high ergonomics and ability to fire 7.62 BP which is an incredible round for end-game PvP.
The RD “budget build” has some interesting features, as the stock can be replaced with the regular VPO wooden stock + buttpad, losing a small amount of ergonomics but gaining around 14 recoil points! This is because AK fixed stocks are typically much better than western stocks for balance reasons, and because the RD can attach both it’s usually superior to go with the AK variants.
How far you can take a budget build on this weapon is up for debate, because it costs well over 100k just to buy the gun in the first place from Mechanic 3, and now that it has been removed from the flea market there is no way to get it easily other than using the traders.
