This is now the fastest known route I'm aware of to make your way up to boss platform. Intentionally dying at of stage 2 brings me to an additional 1.86 seconds of saves time.

How it works:

I'm simply holding right at start of stage to take an intentional death. when I revive I start on gray platform, and walk D/R immediately to keep the two enemies below from jumping up with me.


After that, I force black williams w/bat to jump into pit. Before I make way to white roper. I position myself at X-offset 130 as I walk towards white roper (this is the position you need to be on to make Roper with Red Shirt suicide jump into pit)

And after that, I jump onto platform with White Roper and throw him into pit (position has to be perfect when you jump onto same platform as white roper and throw the kick - otherwise he'll get stuck in place until you move)


For you RTA Speedrunners, this intentional death route will be incredibly hard to pull off in its entirety - since Black Williams w/bat normally throws a bat attack instead of jump kick. A safe RTA speedrun strategy is to make williams whiff a bat attack and kick/throw him into pit, and kick/throw whiteroper into pit as well
