Information in the text files submitted alongside demos may contain errors, missing information, links that are now dead, or contact info that is no longer valid. In particular many .txt files refer to doomedsda.us, a demo archive that no longer exists. Everything has been left as-is, with the goal to accurately represent the material as it appears in the archive. Comments: It looks pretty simple but this jump is actually much harder than it appears. This jump has been known about for some time and is done in the UV-Speed record, but for the longest time I didn't believe it was possible in NoMo because you don't have an enemy to accumulate momentum against, after a bit of fiddling though I sorted it out.

Simply running over the edge as fast as you can will not make the jump without a rocket boost or turbo speeds, whether or not you run over the small red ledge that the zombiemen teleport to, but there's something here we can take advantage of.

If the player runs off of a ledge (or quite commonly, runs down stairs) their momentum will be slightly increased on the tic that they regain contact with the ground, generally this is just a trivial fact but there are some circumstances where it can be helpful. Here I just clipped the corner of the red teleport platform and was on it for two tics, before falling back to the ledge for another two tics before jumping the gap. Falling from that teleporter platform back to the ledge before making the jump gave me just (and I mean JUST, very very close) enough speed to cross the distance.

It was a bit annoying to work out because I needed to run with enough speed to obviously be fast enough, but if I went too fast, then I didn't contact the ground for two tics after falling from the teleport platform, which was necessary because the jump is so tight.

Saves 5 seconds overall. 17 may be possible because .34 is a reasonably low decimal, I'll have to take a better look... Everything in the demo up to the jump is over a year old now so I can probably do it a bit better now.
