Anyways, this is a very early Mega Drive and Genesis title. It even was straight up a launch title for the Sega Genesis. It's a mix of top down shooting a la Bosconian and horizontal shmupping a la Gradius. This is a port of an X68000 game with cut content and graphical downgrades. Despite that the game plays incredibly solidly for an early Genesis game, down to incredibly minimal slowdown.

I saw the cancelled submission of this game by chis on TASVideos and I wanted to improve it. Turns out using tools like frame advance and such can cut down the game time and increase the horizontal shmup segment entertainment by quite a bit. I don't think I'm gonna tackle any other shmups anytime soon since thinking of what to do on autoscrollers is hard.
