Wow, now here's a surprise...also a bonus for you folks at home who may or may not be keeping tabs on my recent upload habits in that this is the third video of the day, when I've been keeping things to two such that each of my three current pet projects takes a day off every third day.

It's a little convoluted, but it makes sense in the long run...well, the fact that I'm saying that maybe means that it doesn't make nearly as much sense as I might claim it is supposed to. The important thing is that I don't burn my way through my tiny backlog so fast that I have nothing to show for myself for weeks at a time...and at the same time this keeps me from flooding subscription modules unnecessarily.

Be sure to give me a stern talking to if you feel I'm ever doing that, by the way...I can always slow down if need be...and technically speeding up is just my natural tendency, so I'm sure it's not going to be too long before I get carried away again.

Anyway, it's EEL! After a long leave of absence from...uh...being around me, I guess, he slinks on in and mentions that he's got Tatsunoko vs. Capcom on his hands for a limited time only...a VERY limited time...as in if we hadn't played on this particular evening, it wouldn't have happened until he eventually buys this game for himself. Scoundrel! Bait and switch! Neglect!

It's okay, I forgive him, especially since he was willing to let me slake my bloodlust so thoroughly. And who knew? Apparently "hasn't played in months" (meaning me) and "has only been playing for about a week" (referring to EEL) happen to be a pretty close match in terms of general playing ability.

I am forced, however, to add a serious disclaimer before we begin, though...when we first started, there was some monstrously bad lag at work...like, lag measurable in whole seconds. That first match (not seen here, the lag wasn't visible anyway, it was all in the inputs) was NOT fun...at all. The lag faded away slowly afterwards (a combination of the lag becoming less intense and growing accustomed to what lag remained), but man was that awful. It took all my powers of persuasion to convince him that one was too small a sample size to go judging the whole experience, and I'm sure that we were both glad that I was right about that.

Match #1 -- Orbital Ring Systems Cargo Bay
Jun the Swan and Yatterman-2 (MS.MUTOU)
vs.
PTX-40A (EEL)

Hey, now...beginner or not, a giant is nothing to scoff at. They're not unfairly balanced against teams of regular characters, but at my current skill level, they're still at that stage of being imposing and a little intimidating, and definitely more than capable of overwhelming me...so I'll take what I can get. I'm clearly a bully.

---

Match #2 -- Aensland Castle
Doronjo and Jun the Swan (MS.MUTOU)
vs.
Chun-Li and Tekkaman Blade (EEL)

Oh, and to set the stage for the rest of the matches, let me point out that Jun the Swan is stalking me. I don't know why, but she is. "Random" somehow seems to mean "Jun the Swan...or maybe some other character, but probably Jun, just because."

---

Match #3 -- Daigo Temple (Moonlight)
Casshan and Chun-Li (EEL)
vs.
Ken the Eagle and Karas (MS.MUTOU)

I'm not sure what was up with this, but Ken was really..."on" for me during these various strings of matches...maybe that's why Jun started stalking me, because she read what I wrote the last time I played this game and commented on Ken's physique. She's clearly the clingy, jealous type and wants to keep a close eye on me so that Ken and I don't get any funny ideas.

(Don't tell her that Ken and I had a few moments stolen away for just us...oh, and I guess Karas was there, too.)

---

Match #3 -- Gessellschaft (Storm)
Polimar and Jun the Swan (MS.MUTOU)
vs.
Jun the Swan and Kaijin no Soki (EEL)

Jun, Jun, Jun. You thought I was kidding, right? Now you've got a Jun for both sides...so it's not even just my own randomizer being exploited here so as to keep me in check and as far away from Ken as possible. The weird thing is that I don't even really actively "like" Ken that much, we just seem to have some kind of natural chemistry now and again.

Is it just me, or does Polimar's drill special have REALLY high chip damage? Oh, and for some reason, I kept on trying to use his Lv. 3 Hyper Combo Attack...which was totally a bad idea, given how close you have to be and how difficult the lag we were experiencing was going to make trying to land it.
