Te Deum in G for Instruments
Every year, members of the community combine with the students of my alma mater, MSSU (Missouri Southern State University) to form the Southern Symphonic Chorus, and alongside the Southern Symphony Orchestra, we perform beautiful orchestral works from Beethoven's 9th to Orff's Carmina Burana, and everything in between or of a similar nature.
In 2019, we had two featured pieces: John Rutter's Reqiuem (which is near and dear to the conductor's heart), and the piece I have attempted to recreate here, Ralph Vaughn Williams's Te Deum in G. (We did not do a performance in 2020 due to COVID-19.)
The piece was originally written for two choirs and one orchestra. The way I have done it here might be difficult to follow, but the instruments are as follows:
Alto saxophone (representing Choir I soprano and alto parts)
Tenor saxophone (representing Choir I tenor and bass parts)
2 vibraphones (one representing Choir II soprano and alto parts, and the second representing tenor and bass parts)
Piano (based on piano representing the orchestra part)
It isn't an exact match because MuseScore doesn't allow you to do things exactly the way they are written, but instead requires logical matches. So in places where one note of the piano's left hand, for instance, is a whole note, and the other notes are moving quarter notes, the only way to get the program to behave is to use four quarter notes equal to the whole note and tie them together.
Still, I am happy with the result, and I hope you do enjoy this arrangement for instruments.

Text: We praise thee, O God:
We acknowledge thee to be the Lord.
All the earth doth worship thee;
the Father everlasting.
To thee all Angels cry aloud,
The Heavens, and all the Powers there in.
To thee, Cherubin and Seraphin
Continually do cry
Continually do cry
Continually do dry
Holy, Holy, Holy
Lord God of Sabaoth
Heaven and earth and full of the Majesty
Of thy glory
The glorious company of the Apostles praise thee
The goodly fellowship of the Prophets praise thee
The noble army of Martyrs praise thee
The holy Church throughout all the world
Doth acknowledge thee!
The Father of an infinite Majesty
Thine honourable (honorable) true and only Son
Also the Holy Ghost
The Comforter
Thou art the King of Glory: O Christ,
Thou art the everylasting Son of the Father
When thou tookest upon thee to deliver man
Thou didst not abhor the Virgin's womb
When thou hast overcome the sharpness of death
Thou didst open the Kingdom of Heaven to all believers
Thou sittest at the right hand of God
In the glory of the Father
We believe that thou shalt come
To be our Judge.
We therefore pray thee,
Help thy servants
Whom thou hast redeemed
With thy precious blood.
Make them to be numbered
With thy Saints: in glory
Everlasting.
O Lord, save thy people and bless thine heritage
Govern them, and lift them up forever.
Day by day, we magnify thee, and we worship thy name
Ever world without end.
Vouchsafe, O Lord, to keep us this day without sin.
O Lord, have mercy upon us; have mercy upon us
O Lord, let thy mercy lighten upon us:
As our trust is in thee:
O Lord, in thee have I trusted
Let me never, never be confounded.
Let me never be confounded.
