Tea Time | Part 9 | Let's Play Luigi's Mansion (PAL Perfect Score)
Ah, the bane of my existence, the Tea Room. We meet again...
This is a Let's Play of Luigi's Mansion for the Nintendo Gamecube, a game that came out in 2001. Luigi's Mansion features Mario's younger brother, Luigi, on a quest through a haunted mansion looking for clues to find Mario and rescue him from the ghosts. Luigi's Mansion was used almost as a tech demo for the Gamecube, showing off its lighting, particle, and dynamic shadow effects. In Luigi's Mansion, players are ranked on the amount of money they collect throughout the game, however, in this run we will be maxing out the money counter, by collecting every coin, dollar bill, gold bar, and gem in the entire game.
This specific run is of the PAL Hidden Mansion. Hidden Mansion is the hard mode unlocked for completing the game once, though due to complaints about the Hidden Mansion being too similar to the Normal Mansion in the American/NTSC version, the PAL/European version features significant differences, including darker rooms, more aggressive ghosts, different ghost varieties in rooms, and the entire mansion being mirrored left to right. Additionally, each boss ghost has had a redone fight made to be harder, and every Speedy Spirit and Gold Mouse now offers different money from the normal mode, driving the total amount of money up from 142,390,000G to 186,440,000G. As stated above, we will be collecting every coin, totaling our score in at 186,440,000G.
In this episode, we begin Area 3, clearing out the Courtyard and finding evidence of Mario in the Bottom of the Well, before taking out Biff Atlas the bodybuilder in the Rec Room. As a finale, we spend most of the episode trying to get all the money in the Tea Room, the most evil room in the game complete with two gold mice!
