Team Fortress 2 on an AMD Phenom II X3 B75
Yesterday I recieved an AMD Phenom II X3 B75 I had purchased for a media rig in the mail. I dug up my old "AM3+" motherboard (between you and me I'm pretty sure it's an AM3 board) and threw this CPU in there to see if it worked.
Guess what, it did! And it's significantly more snappy than it has any right to be. Unfortunately, TF2 doesn't run all too well on older CPUs anymore, so I decided to see how this ran.
CPU: AMD Phenom II X3 B75, full stock
GPU: MSI Radeon RX 580 8G V1 (don't ask)
RAM amount: 8GB DDR3 at 1066MHz
Map played: Nucleus
Recording software: ReLive
Full disclaimer, Radeon ReLive can add extra CPU strain, and while this isn't really noticeable on my 1700X, it really hurts the Phenom and the frame rates in this video may be lower than you experience in a similar scenario on the same map.
