Complete playthrough of the Demo.... I'm actually pleasantly surprised at its length!

A decent 3-D platformer that controversially doesn't give you the ability to jump on your own until the end of the first set of levels, I rather enjoyed this. The construction-papery aesthetic is done quite well, and they play with this in a number of nifty different ways. The camera controls were kinda tricky at times, putting your view behind a piece of the papery environment, but it wasn't as bad as some other games I've played.

Moving to the PS4 from Vita, they revamped the gameplay to take advantage of the PS4's hardware. Honestly, I wonder how different the experience would have been if they couldn't pan up and show the Scraps flowing out of a hole in the moon through which you could see our living room and the You beyond. Some of the gameplay depends on the motion controls in the DS4 to shine a light on the in-game world, and tapping the touchpad has a few different functions as well.

One thing that surprised me was that the in-game papercraft rewards for advancing through the story were actually granted during the demo. I only unlocked three (and actually created one! https://vine.co/v/etj1dBxvZwv ), but it was great that they let you demo that 'feature' as well. I think it may have sold at least one more copy.

I think Media Molecule is becoming a new Naughty Dog. Not that they plan to REPLACE ND, but that they create great and compelling worlds that show off what the Playstation hardware can do, but don't linger for too long on one series before moving on to a new project (LBP3 was actually handled by Sumo Digital). I look forward to 'Dreams', but also to what they might have up their sleeves for the future!
