It is a sequel to WWE SmackDown! Shut Your Mouth and is part of the WWE SmackDown! series based on World Wrestling Entertainment's weekly TV show SmackDown.

Oroku "The Shredder" Saki is the archenemy and rival of Splinter and the turtles, and usually serves as the main villain and antagonist. He wears a suit of armor vaguely based on that of a samurai and is the leader of the criminal organization known as the Foot Clan. After Shredder used a mutagen vial on himself. He is transformed into a massive "Super Shredder," an almost mindless giant-mutant being with immense superhuman strength. He is portrayed by Kevin Nash, and voiced by David McCharen.

Krang was originally a warlord from Dimension X before he was banished and stripped of his body and reduced to a brain like-form. While on Earth, Krang allied himself with the Shredder who, along with his robotic Foot Soldier army, moved into the Technodrome. In exchange, the Shredder had to build a new body for Krang, a human-shaped exo-suit which the latter had designed. He was created by David Wise and voiced Pat Fraley.
