Tekken 4 on PCSX2 - Time Attack with Kazuya Mishima
2You know, looking back at it now, 'Tekken 4' definitely had a lot going for it. Sure, the overall gameplay balance was all over the place with this particular entry (what with the infamy surrounding Jin's combo potential here and such), but compared to other titles in the franchise, the atmosphere of T4 is brooding, the overall story of T4 is rather grounded for the most part and fights in T4 felt more akin to the likes of 'Dead or Alive 2' and 'Virtua Fighter 4' than, say, 'Tekken 3'. Sure, the mere presence of Kuma and Panda in this game (plus the rather questionable decision for Heihachi to wear a fundoshi in battle by default) can and will detract from the overall seriousness of T4, but I guess that's what the 'Tekken' franchise is all about: coolness added with a dash of cheesiness.
So yeah, let's see how well I do in this game's Time Attack mode with a character whose perfect attendance record was broken by a certain third mainline entry which not only marked a significant turning point for the 'Tekken' franchise with the introduction of characters such as Hwoarang, Jin Kazama and Ling Xiaoyu, but also to this day is cited by many as one of the greatest video games of all time, let alone one of the greatest fighting games ever made.
