SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos (Steam) - Local Play (One Player) with Demitri Maximoff
1It's been two months now since this rather peculiar fighting game saw a long-awaited release on PC (with Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 versions following two days after).
Let's face it, 'SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos' isn't on the levels of 'Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000' or 'Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001' in terms of overall quality (though some may argue it's not to the levels of 'Capcom Fighting Evolution'/'Capcom Fighting Jam' in terms of being downright awful). Sure, the character roster in this game is rather unique (especially in comparison to Capcom's efforts in the 'SNK vs. Capcom' front), but the overall presentation is bland (what with the game's storyline apparently taking place in some sort of purgatory and such even though it's not explicitly stated in-game), the game mechanics are quite broken (especially at high AI/ranked player levels) and the English dialogue between the characters in this game is hokey to the point of being potentially offensive to some. (Small wonder, then, that this particular Steam release has a disclaimer at the beginning indicating the fact that certain elements of this game are clearly products of their time and therefore aren't appropriate/relevant in this day and age.)
So yeah, let's see if I can manage to achieve the true ending for this game with one of the secret characters from Capcom's side plus some tweaked options (because let's face it, I have little to no chance of completing any SNK fighting game in one try without doing so). And yes, it just so happens that this year marks the 30th anniversary of Capcom's 'Darkstalkers'/'Vampire' franchise.
