Tekkout - What is it?

Tekkout is a breakout game. The plyaer moves a bat at the bottom of the screen. With this bat he holds a ball in play.
The ball hits stones and bricks and other things on the playfield and destroys them. If alle stones are smashed the plyer wins the level.

Controls

Move the mouse left/right and the bat is moving left/right too. At the beginning of a level a ball is on the bat. You can start the ball by pressing the left mouse key. Now the ball is moving through the playfield.
The ball is not allowed to fall out of the playfield. Move your bat below the ball quickly. Depending on what part of the bat the ball hits, it gets a certain angle.
The bat can also be controlled by keyboard. And by keyboard and mouse together. The left/right cursor key are moving the bat at left or right. Space key lets the balls flow.

Three Worlds

Tekkout consists of three worlds. Every world has 25 levels and its own peculiarities. You can read something about this peculiarities at the beginning of the first level.

The three worlds are:

Tekka - a very clearly arranged technical world
Orga - a sunny forest with bricks of wood
Aqua - a ancient world under the sea

The scores

Every stone you destroy gives you points. If the stone have to be hitten more than one time, you get more points.
There also are other elements in the game like raindrops and seashells. This elements contains extra points and maybe other extras.
If all ball are lost the game is over and the player can save his name an score in the highscore table.


Difficulty settings

Every world can be played in three difficulty setting:

Easy - you start with 5 extraballs, balls are moving slow
Medium - you start with 3 extraballs, balls are moving at normal speed
Hard - you start with 2 extraballs, balls are moving fast


Extras

In Tekkout there are 15 extras. They are hidden in stones and fall down when this stones explodes.
They are listed here. A (T) means that the extra is a longer time activated. How much time an extra is activated you can see on the scales at the sides of the playfield.

shrink bat - shrink bat
hold ball (T)- Sticky bat, all ball sticks on the bat. Let them flow by pressing left mousekey.
ballsplit - All balls are splitting into 3 balls.
faster balls (T) - faster balls
slower balls (T)- slower balls
1K - You get 1000 extra points.
5K - You get 5000 extra points.
x2 (T) - The points you get in this time will be multiplied by 2
x5 (T) - The points you get in this time will be multiplied by 5
undestroyable stones (T) - In this time balls cannot destroy stones
closed below (T) - An obstacle appears below the bat. Balls cannot move outside the playfield.
+ 1 extraball - You get one extraball.
1 new ball - A new ball appears on the bat and immediately moves trough the playfield.
weapons (T) - Two cannons appears on the bat. You can fire little rockets pressing the left mouseke
