TEMPORAL PROOF that Cities Skylines 2 MAP is smaller than Cities Skylines 1
When I first loaded Cities Skylines 2, the map felt small, restricted - despite Developers and Fans saying that Cities Skylines 2 map is the size of a small country (Monaco maybe). As I begun to build the map just felt small, and felt even smaller after returning to Cities Skylines 2 from a Cities Skylines 1 session.
I'm also skeptical on whether or not the full CS2 map can be unlocked and developed by modders due to the outside connection points and just how poor the graphics are out there, yet even with that extra space, the map still feels smaller (the larger mountains definitely give the map more vertical spatial feel, but not the playable building space.
Yes, I know people will say things about Cities Skylines 1 is 81 tiles modded, that's not vanilla, that's not the game - and CS2 is larger than CS1 by game vanilla default - and I can agree with that statement - but either way, Cities Skylines 2 as a sense of spatial feel, just feels tiny. In Cities Skylines 1, you could build satellite cities within your major city - I can't see that in Cities Skylines 2.
