Like most other ranged weapons, the best prefix this can obtain is Unreal.
This weapon is useful in dispatching teleporting enemies, since the piranha will lock on to and follow the target each teleport.
The first enemy the piranha attaches to must be in direct line of sight with the shot. The piranha will automatically home in on nearby enemies if they are in range once the initial enemy is dead, regardless of line of sight.
The piranha will not latch onto other players in PVP.
The Piranha Gun counts as a rocket-using weapon for the purpose of Shroomite armor
