Terrorizer - Hordes of Zombies | One man FULL cover and lyric video
This one took much longer than what I've released thus far. Not for one second was it NOT fun either!
Full transparency, I think everything after World Downfall is just "meh". The songs have qualities of being great but seem to suffer too much from repetition and a lack of experimentation. Case in point, Hordes of Zombies. This is a fantastic track, and many others from this album, to practice fast palm muted tremolo picking. And if you are a drummer, skank beats and blast beats. However, much like the rest of the album, that is really all there is to offer. Nothing can really be said about the vocals other than monotonous.
Those are the primary reasons I decided to change it up and put my own spin on the track for it's 2nd half. I make the opening verse a bit more thrashy using power chords to accentuate each note hit as well as d-beats. I use my favorite style of vocals with the guttural layered underneath for harmonies. There are a few other things but the one I want to point out is the torrent of extreme vocals to create the sound of a swarm of zombies desperate for flesh. There are 4 vocal tracks (2 guttural style, 2 scream style) blended panned wide with reverb and ping pong delay. Felt that it was a good way to build some sound scape for the track.
Anyway, if you read all of that I sincerely appreciate you and your time. Thank you.
