Tesla USB Dash Cam File Guide: Sentry Mode & Front/Side Camera
This video was created by request from my Tesla Sentry Mode Guide: Activate, Trigger Alarm/Music, Recording video. "How do you get the video recordings?" from Sentry mode.
In this video I explain how the Tesla USB Dash cam footage is recorded in your USB folder. In your USB stick, you have a folder called "TeslaCam". In the past, under this folder was all your recorded videos that you saved as well as the past hour of recording time.
Now, the TeslaCam folder has two sub folders;
1) Recent Clips: This is the last hour of recorded video, while automatically deleting the oldest clip.
2) Saved Clips: this folder is further broken down by folders of dates. Your sentry mode videos are saved to these folders, as well as any video footage that you save by clicking the dash cam icon while in your Tesla.
Under each folder is 3 files for each minute of recorded time. They are labeled as front, right and left.
Hopefully this helps explain where your video recordings are going.
