Tesla 2019.8.5: Navigation on Autopilot, No Confirmation Missed My Ramp
36Tesla updated to 2019.8.5. This update includes Navigation on Autopilot with no confirmation required. I happy to say that Navigate on Autopilot without lane change confirmation has been released for Canadians. This is my first drive with it.
Overall it is a good feature but could still use improvements. In this video I show you it working for the most part. It did however miss a ramp and in the process swerved across the lane. I was safe in checking to make sure there were no cars around before trying this, since I could tell ahead of time that the car was not going to make the ramp. I think it struggles with HOV lanes.
I will have more videos of this in the upcoming weeks and overall still impressed. Please make sure to pay attention while using any and all autopilot features. It is assisting you drive, not driving for you.
