There are three basic types of games: Plan, Practice, Improvise
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s9xkfPLJWf0

*Type One (Plan):* See all the details ahead of time, make a plan, and follow it.

*Type Two (Improvise):* React to details as they arise.

*Type Three (Practice):* Memorize the steps as you die and die, over and over, until you can perfectly execute the one sequence that'll get you through the level. It's one of the more frustrating styles, honestly.

Teslagrad, here, is a Type Two game. You can, generally speaking, react to the stuff thrown at you, without needing to restart.

Unfortunately, I, as a gamer, have not been reacting fast enough to actually capitalize on this... so I end up playing it like a Type Three.

Sigh.

tl;dr: I suck at platforming in real-time. But at least it's got short iteration cycles!

Addendum: This is also how I played *World of Warcraft* -- again, it's meant to have you just play through and keep going, but I memorized the newbie levels (by playing through them on dozens of characters, getting more efficient as I went) and then the 10-19 levels, and so on. Only got one character past 40, eventually, when everyone else was up in their 80's or higher....

*Video / Monetization Policy:*
"We, the team of Rain Games, hereby declare that all YouTube users have our permission to run advertisements for the purpose of monetization on their videos of our game, Teslagrad.

"Okay, hopefully that’s enough for the legal stuff. Let’s carry on creating!"
