Test Run - Windward!
1Yarr Ye Salty Dogs, Welcome aboard and Welcome to Windward! Right from the get go I'm going to say if you have played Sid Meier's Pirates and loved the ship segments you will adore this game. Windward is a naval/pirate rpg through the perspective of a ship. Playing through the game you find equipment in the form of upgrade to your ship, level and gain talents allowing you to create a class, and unlocking more challenging sections of the randomly generated (Or self created) map.
First off I am going to say what many are saying, if you are looking for a more casual game (For instance to play after a long day at work) this is perfect for that, it can get repetitive as you move and sell cargo and complete missions, but truely that is the key gameplay of the game. Sail, upgrade, battle or negotiate, control.
Giving you 4 factions to choose from to help you assign your own role to your ship, you start off in a fresh Sloop... "Shloop"... and work your way from nothing to something. Ruthless killer of the sea's or diplomatic money manipulator, and everywhere inbetween. You play, you decide, or you walk the plank!!
