Hello everyone, welcome back. Now over the last few months we've tested some of the more recent Far Cry games on the PS3, PS5 and Xbox One. And in this video, we'll do a gameplay test of Far Cry 2 which was one of the most eagerly awaited shooters back in 2008.
The game featured a brand new cutting edge game engine that made harnessing the PS3s full processing power possible. Virtually everything in Far Cry 2 is generated dynamically on the go- there's destructible and regenerating environment, wind effect that affects vegetation and dust movement, and even the spread of fire.
On the PS3 the game targets 30 FPS with some FPS Drops. The resolution is set at 720p with a moderate amount of screen tearing, but overall the gameplay experience remains pretty fluid.
