**This has been fixed in the newer versions of Minecraft (tested in specifically 1.20.1 and/or above)

The easiest way to escape it? Don't place a bed under the end portal in the first place...

Spoiler Alert! None of the theories work. It seems like there is no leaving the end, at least for now.
Although I do have ideas on how to actually escape the end, I don't think it will save your progress in your world or work if you're playing on Hardcore.
It'll probably be best to wait for either Minecraft to remove this "glitch" in a future update (Like how it's not possible to get stuck in Minecraft PE) or just go into spectator mode, turn on keepinventory, and /kill to get back to the overworld.
