(Tetris Effect) Master Mode 228 lines, 877,800 points. (Lv16 Start)
Players seem to think that you need fast reflex to get good at Master Mode. While that is true to edge cases, the important aspect of 20G Tetris is learning to not fight against the weird kicks of 20G and get used to it. (Sometimes it is possible to even take advantage of it!) This requires to think as minimally as possible, deciding where pieces should land within a split second. It is also necessary to partially abandon the urge to keep B2Bs, as it could badly mess up the stack, and messy stack means crisis or death in this mode. As you can see in this video, I am yet to perfect these skills, but I have to say that playing Tetris DS on Lv20 for way too long really paid off here.
At the time I uploaded this video, I was ranked 27th in the global leaderboards in score. 36th in lines, but that record is set separately when I cleared 231 lines. If you're curious, my nickname on the leaderboard is csq_letzplay.
