So I realize I've been putting this off for a while, but the last major modes of Tetris Party are the Wi-Fi versus modes. There's a (bad) reason for that, anyway...I get this strange apprehension that comes over me for some online games, Tetris in particular...where, I feel like, maybe I have no business even wasting another person's time by playing against them...which is of course an entirely ridiculous notion, and I know it...but it still happens.

So with this sort of mentality, one of two things will happen: I'll let myself get psyched out and things will get messy, or I'll kinda...blank out the other player and the match will end before I know it. This also happens in similar games, like Dr. Mario, and I'm not sure, but I think it happens a couple of times in the demonstrative Dr. Mario Online Rx footage I have uploaded.

Looking back, it seemed to happen mid-round a couple of times while I was playing, because there are some serious cases of extreme turnabout that I just can't figure out how they came to pass. Seriously, I almost felt like a spectator behind my own controller... Should I be worried about this?

Anyway, in the future, if I upload more of these, I'll probably excise the practice segments for the sake of time, but since this is the first time and I'm trying to provide a useful example for anybody who was curious as to how the game looks and feels, and you get a computer opponent while you're waiting on the matchmaking process.

That said...the AI was going completely nuts on me this session, and I have no clue why. I don't think I've ever been so soundly crushed by practice in so many rounds of rapid succession, I was overjoyed when I actually found an opponent who would be less of a problem than the computer was. "Practice"!? Yeah, that's helping me with that apprehension I mentioned earlier.

Anyway, this is one of two variations in online play, Items turned off being a simple one-on-one versus match. Next you'll see the game with items turned on and more players in the mix.
