Fed-up of getting shut down by those pesky Thargoids - don't have enough slots available for a Shutdown field Neutraliser? This hack can help you and I didn't know :)
In this video, I'll show you how to shut down your ship in Elite Dangerous to avoid the Thargoid shutdown wave pulse. This is a powerful attack that can disable your ship for 30 seconds, making you vulnerable to attack. By shutting down your ship, you can prevent the pulse from affecting you.

To shut down your ship, you'll need to equip a Shutdown Field Neutralizer module. This module can be purchased at military and high tech planetary bases. Once you have the module, you'll need to assign it to a fire group.

When you're under attack from a Thargoid interceptor, you'll receive a warning about the incoming shutdown wave pulse. When you see this warning, quickly put 4 pips into your SYS capacitor, select the fire group with your Shutdown Field Neutralizer, and hold down the fire button. The neutralizer will consume a lot of energy from your SYS capacitor, so be sure to release the button as soon as the pulse passes your ship.

Shutting down your ship is a great way to avoid the Thargoid shutdown wave pulse. However, it's important to note that this will also disable your ship's shields and weapons. So, you'll need to be careful not to get attacked while your ship is shut down.

Here are some additional tips for using the Shutdown Field Neutralizer:

You can hotkey the neutralizer to a button on your controller. This will make it easier to activate the neutralizer quickly when you're under attack.
If you're running low on SYS capacitor, you can try to boost away from the Thargoid interceptor before the pulse hits. This will give you a few seconds to recharge your capacitor before the pulse reaches you.
If you're not carrying a Shutdown Field Neutralizer, you can try to avoid the shutdown wave pulse by staying outside of 3 kilometers from the Thargoid interceptor.
