That One Thing my Mind does
Enjoy my Van Ritchie impression, I guess. I saw this one Hypothetical Map of a "Larger" Tri-Rail, and now it plays in my mind like a broken record. In this alternate world where Tri-Rail had more Funding and spent it all on going against what their name stands for and creating both this "Treasure Coast Line" and southward expansion to Homestead. I'm pretty sure it would have to be a world where Brightline and Miami Central don't exist, otherwise this would all be obsolete. This train would function similar to the Amtrak San Joaquins, making it so far before Bus Connections take over for the rest of the distance to Orlando, but still keep to its Commuter Roots making various notable stops at places like Stuart, Fort Pierce, and Vero Beach. The full run would be about 180 Miles and take over 4 hours, dwarfing even various shorter Amtrak lines. I feel like Intercity Coaches such as California Cars might actually be necessary for this service.
