The 17th Runway for Hope: Ana Fox, Runway Collection & Interview
Ana Fox is a fine artist and student at the University of Ottawa. Her wearable designs are about celebrating creativity, freedom, movement, and style; the things that surround us and bring energy into everyday life. For Ana, art is meant to be lived, felt, and experienced, and fashion becomes a platform where she can explore and express these desires. By presenting her wearable art at Runway for Hope, Ana is proud to share her designs while contributing to the fundraiser in support of CHEO. For her, this event is an opportunity to connect art with community, and to use creativity as a means of making a positive impact.

From the designer:
Each model featured in the show comes from a different background.
The last model, wearing the rose gold and black dress, is Indigenous.
Her name is Mia Keese, and she's from Akwesasne, NY: which means "where the partridge drums", home to part of the Mohawk Nation. She’s lived there her whole life. Her Mohawk name is “Teiakohontsiahere,” which translates to “she’s covered with the earth,” and she belongs to the Turtle Clan.
I chose to include her and others with diverse backgrounds as a reflection of my human rights research. Each dragon incorporated into the garments symbolizes law and human rights protection, like guardians. It all ties back to years of activism and raising awareness through the designs
