The 7th Circle - Endless Nightmare (PC)Playthrough Pt. 2 of 2
This is my playthrough of The 7th Circle - Endless Nightmare on the PC. Enjoy!
An Alter Ego has begun traveling in a dungeon, looking for something. He goes deeper and deeper into this dungeon, looking for something, trying to save someone, he doesn't know who but he knows that the soul trapped deep within needs saving. The Scarlet Tide washes through, soaking the ground in blood-red water. He feels weakened, but he presses onwards. A tough monster appears in his path, and he fights to the best of abilities, but it isn't enough, and he goes down. So another Alter Ego comes along and takes the previous Alter Ego's place, venturing onwards, using all that the previous Alter Ego learned, and learning a few new things for himself, as well. He goes deeper and deeper, the paths, they never end, do they, they just go on and on and on and AND ON AND ON AND ON!
So is the gameplay cycle of The 7th Circle - Endless Nightmare, a Horror-First-Person Grid-Based Dungeon-Crawler RPG, published by 68K Studios on Steam and gog.com. The game is brutal, but fun, and I'm hoping that the amount of fun I've had in this playthrough is evident in the gameplay, although probably not. If you've played Anvil of Dawn and Dungeon Hack and Dungeon Master, then you're going to feel right at home in this game, apart from maybe the Horror elements, and it may seem hard at first, but stick with it and just like with Dark Souls, you'll get through it, eventually.
Since we're in the month of scary things that go bump in the night, and this being a Horror RPG of sorts, I thought, "what better time to get around to playing through this?" Boy, am I glad I did! I really recommend this game to fans of old-school First-Person Grid-Based Dungeon Crawler RPGs, and considering that I've seen it going on sale over at gog.com for literally less than a dollar, you really have no excuse not to try it out, if these sorts of games are your bag!
