The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland (Game Boy Color) - Full Longplay on Super Game Boy
It's been a long time since I've used my Super Nintendo, and since my Super Game Boy has arrived, I finally got back in the mood to hook it back up again! And what better way then to do a longplay of Elmo in Grouchland on it? Of course the game doesn't have any special Super Game Boy compatibility, so it's just the game being played on a Super Game Boy with the normal border. Of course it lost most of it's color besides the regular Super Game Boy palette I've used, however, I do like the fade out transitions after the logos and after you die in a level, which can't be seen on an actual Game Boy Color or even on a Game Boy Advance SP. Also, I might as well admit that I do like the higher pitch on this game (and honestly, a lot of other Game Boy games being played on a Super Game Boy as well). Besides the Super Game Boy being a bit faster from what I've heard gameplay wise, I did notice a bit of slowdown when it came to the last level of the game. Other than that though, it's never really that noticeable, and I'm glad to own a Super Game Boy despite me not owning too many Game Boy & Game Boy Color games.
Forgot to mention, most of the sound channels sound quiter on the Super Game Boy for this game on some of the music tracks, though that could either be my capture card or just the game itself.
