4The Adventures Of Willy Beamish is a point and click adventure game which was released in 1991 and created by Dynamix Software and Sierra On Line and has you experiencing the day to day life of a 9 year old boy named Willy Beamish who is trying to do everything in his power to enter the Nintari World Championships and win!
Along the way he will have to deal with the evil Leona Humpford (A parody of Leona Helmsley) and her clan of cohorts who are attempting to cause major issues for the city of Frumpton.. Protect his family.. Fight a vampiric babysitter.. and do the typical things 9 year old boys do.. Fight with his sisters and family.. Play Nintari video games.. and make sure his pet frog Horny wins the Annual Frog Jump Competition so he can get the $25,000.00 to enter into the Nintari World Championships.
The game was a commercial success at release, however, many felt that a lot of the voice cast either didn't understand the characters or didn't try very hard at voicing them.. The only acception was Michael Zibelman who voiced Willy Beamish and did an okay job at it.
I personally enjoyed this game as a kid growing up and feel that it holds up today with its cleverly hidden adult humor and the parody of a dysfunctional family gone awry..
