Just came back from the midnight screen of The Avenger, and I have to say Marvels dream of assembling a superhero cast into one movies was well executed by Josh Whedon. He did a fantastic job in fleshing out all the characters, from Iron Man all the way down to the Black Widow. The Movies of course stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Cobie Smulders, Clark Gregg, Samuel L. Jackson.
Plot Summary: Continuing the epic big-screen adventures started in "Iron Man," "The Incredible Hulk," "Iron Man 2," "Thor" and "Captain America: The First Avenger," "Marvel's The Avengers" is the superhero team up of a lifetime. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as SHIELD, finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.
Running time is 2hr and about 40mins and though there are slow downs in the movie, Josh Whedon does a fantastic job in making sure every charter is fleshed out in some form. Scarlett Johansson was great as Black Widow, and Jeremy Renner did a solid job as Hawkeye. Chris Evans continued his stellar performance as Captain America and did a good job holding his own against Robert Downey Jr. on screen. Mark Ruffalo Played a convincing Bruce Banner, but th eHulk is the star of this movie. I will stop here before I start spilling the beans on this movie. But I will simply say this. Go see it. Enjoy!
