The Bards Tale ARPG Remastered and Resnarkled Monthly Xbox Game Pass Rewards Quest Guide August 2020

Here is a guide for this month’s Xbox Game Pass Rewards Quest in The Bard's Tale ARPG : Remastered and Resnarkled for “Earning 2 achievements.” This guide assumes that you’ve never played the game before and haven’t unlocked any achievements previously.

Known Issue(s):
1) Start the game
2) Select Start New Game
3) Change the difficulty to Easy, and then scroll down and select Auto-Allocate and then press Continue
4) Select any talent that you want
5) Mash B to skip cutscenes. Go over and talk to the drunks by pressing X and then hitting B to skip the cutscene
6) Proceed through the area and go down the steps and walk until you find the small rat. You’ll press A to attack.
7) The small rat will die, and an enormous rat will come out and set you on fire. Go upstairs back to the tavern and skip the cutscenes.
8) Go back downstairs (for whatever reason the map flips from your earlier orientation, so you’re going to walk up through the tavern instead of down to get to the stairs).
9) You’ll get sucked into a cutscene and will learn a new Tune, which will allow you to kill the giant rat. This unlocks your first achievement (Learn the Song of the Thunder Spider).
10) Proceed through the basement until you find the large rat. Once you’re in front of the rat, hit RB, then B, then X. You’ll begin playing a song.
11) Once the song finishes, you’ll notice a lightning bolt show up around you. Move towards the rat and it will attack the rat.
12) Once the rat dies, you’ll unlock your second, and final, achievement to “Defeat the rats in the cellar”
