The first thing I want to say is going into this was...interesting.
I haven't watched Yu Yu Hakusho for over 15 years so my memory of it is very hazy, but I do remember finishing the anime and really enjoying it. Besides that statement I haven't really got anything else to say in relation to the series.

Now for the game, it's your typical Dimps anime fighter. Pretty good with a decent amount of playable characters, I think this is a Japanese expanded port of the Dark Tournament PS2 game that came out exclusively in the west. But yeah, pretty good. Only thing I hold against it is that Koenma plagues the main menu and his voice can become somewhat annoying after a while. Even when you are not doing anything, like me leaving it on the battle options screen trying to translate what it says so I can make sure the COM is on the highest difficulty, Koenma still keeps talking and never shuts up.

Also the battles are kinda weird when you have COM vs. COM, the computer seems to struggle fighting each other and the battles look like they're on easy mode but I can assure you that I set the computer difficulty to level 4 (which is the highest) and yet the battles are like this. The computer doesn't seem to have this issue though against human controlled fighters. Weird...
