The Best Idea That Didn’t Work: Mirror’s Edge Catalyst Desolated World
Mirror's Edge Catalyst unforutnetly disappointed many players that were expecting much more from the awaited sequel. The first game, released in 2008, was praised for its unique first person parkour gameplay never seen before but the game was linear and quite short. The sequel Catalyst promised to open the city up for the player but making a weak open world that was quickly abandoned and forgotten. This is not a Review of Mirror's Edge Catalyst but an explanation on why the game's idea, an open world mirror's edge, didn't click but how it could have if the developers took a different approach in the game design.
