My Review of Soulmask
After putting in around 40 hours I fell in love with this game. It has everything I want in an open world survival game. The best is how technical and in depth it gets from farming to the basics of building and trapping. I find it great in the difficult parts of the game that you can’t just run out and just do what you want. You have to plan and pay attention to your surroundings or you might be a meal for a panther, or run into a group of NPC’s at a ruin. I really like how the NPC’s interact with you, and dodge and move around and do finishing moves on you in battle. I am tired of people dumbing down games because some people feel it's too hard like some developers say to get good lol, and I am really happy that this game has some challenges. When playing I found it fun having to plan my route so I knew where the panthers were so I could either sneak past them or rush them so I could kill them quickly, that is until I ran into an elite panther and all hell breaks loose lol.

Things that I saw that could be improved were more building parts. I am a big base builder and like to make elaborate structures so I would really like to see more into that. Some of the technology in the tree did not make sense, for example I needed the granary to harvest my farm fields but unlocked them before the granary. Another thing was Tin and Copper, I understand the need to put them in an area where NPC’s were. I like that but there needs to be more areas. Also I like having to find a scout to unlock some parts of the map but if that is the case it should reveal harvest areas as well, and I would like the map to at least reveal the areas that I explore. I would really like to see a pull cart added to the game, that way since I don't have a mount and if I need to travel to get something like copper i could store it on a cart, or if I raid an NPC area I can store it in a cart or toss a NPC I want to tame on it and bring it back to base. Also it would be really nice to have some kind of boat to use in the rivers or offshore. The one main thing I hated was to sleep in a bed and have to wait.

Overall I would say this game is already better than most survival games that are out now and would play it as is, as you make updates. The graphics of the game is amazing also I am using a i9 10900k with 64gb ram, with a Gigabyte 4090 and i put it on a HDD not even a ssd or higher and it ran great i maxed out everything and was getting 90fps most of the time. I would like to see more Nvidia support but I had no issues. This is by far hands down going to be my favorite game and I cannot wait to play and stream it a lot, I could really see putting thousands of hours into the game.
