A new era of THE BIG PICTURE begins... with saying goodbye to a team who helped make several eras worth of memories for generations of animation fans.

Two of the most successful graduates of the Hanna-Barbera factory to strike out on their own, Joe Ruby and Ken Spears both passed away within mere months of each other in 2020 (August and November, respectively.) Best known to cartoon history as the creators of "SCOOBY-DOO," their subsequent independent partnership as "Ruby Spears Productions" resulted in some of the most indelibly quixotic and unique cartoons to play out in the anything-goes 80s and 90s. Sometimes campy, sometimes classic, sometimes downright bizarre, their impact will live longer than anyone ever likely suspected at the time - and they will be missed.
