Hey there everyone. I made a Poll in a Google+ Community for gamers asking what people thought was the largest problem with the stagnation in MMOs today. To my surprise, there were over 750 votes in less than 24 hours, as well as several comments. Some were very relevant, some were not (leave it to someone to try and throw religion in there somewhere!), but regardless it was interesting that everyone felt very strongly about a few key topics that are currently plaguing the MMO scene. Now quick disclosure, in this discussion/review of sorts, you're going to hear Gray curse. It happens, especially when I talk about things I feel passionate about, but there's also a fair deal of jesting involved as well.
As a long time MMO player, it irritates me to see lazy developers churning out carbon copy MMOs, without the bravado to attempt something new, exciting, or innovating. Not only this, the lack of communication, the lack of accountability, and the lack of concern for the audience has become fairly appalling.
In this short discussion, I go over the Top 5 biggest problems I felt MMOs had today, the results of the poll involving those reasons, and I mention and respond to each contributor comment. I'm really pleased with the responses from everyone, and if you liked this Poll Response video, feel free to let me know in the comments and I'll keep making more! Have a suggestion on what I should make a poll about for a possible future episode? Let me know about that as well! Thanks guys, and much love!
