The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth † - Insane 0-to-Death combo
1I was playing some Greed Mode to chill while I waited for Faad to reply a pretty trivial message.
Unfortunately, I got the winning combination right after finishing The Shop, so there was not a lot of run left to record.
You'll see, Monstro's Lung allows for a charged attack, which, because it shoots so many tears at once, it knocks the enemy back quite a bit.
I also have Purity, which increases one stat depending on the color of the Aura. The Aura (and the stat) goes away if you get hit, but returns in a new color when you enter a new room. The blue Aura decreases Tear Delay by 4. This boost can go over the Tear Delay cap, so you can attack even faster than normal.
My tear rate was also already maxed thanks to picking up PHD, which makes it so all pills have positive or neutral effects, and Mom's Coin Purse, which grants 4 pills, 2 of which were Tears Up
I also got a Rune of Algiz, which provides a Shield for 30 seconds. I used it as soon as the fight with Ultra Greed started because I saw the shoot coming my way and I didn't see myself capable of dodging, and I didn't want to lose the aura boost from Purity.
It seems that, if Ultra Greed initiates his rushing attack, he won't stop until you stop going to the Prometheus School of Running Away from Things (a.k.a. moving to the side instead of away)
But thanks to the high knockback of Monstro's Lung charged attack, and the insanely fast charge time that my Tear Delay allowed, I managed to abuse his AI and keep him away with some spam. This got me a really easy kill. And I learned something new.
Oh, also. I got the D6 and The Battery in the first shop, which helped tremendously with the run. The seed is at the start of the video, but... Is not of much use since I don't remember anymore where I rerolled items.
