The Black Sword Vs Jade Cutter Vs Prototype Rancour - Quick comparisons - Genshin Impact
Keep in mind this is not a DPS comparison. Just a Damage comparison.
DPS wise the Jade Cutter is superior thanks to the more constant Critical Hits.
THE POINT OF THIS VIDEO was to compare the Jade Cutter's damage passive to other commonly used weapons passive's, to put it into perspective.
By this video itself you can see that damage provided by the Jade Cutter's passive (1.2% of max HP) is similar to the damage provided by The Black Swords passive (+20% damage on normal attacks), since their base damage is somewhat similar, and their hits scored almost identical numbers on normal attacks.
Same thing with the Prototype Rancour. At refinement level 3, its passive provides +24% ATK, and even at full stacks and having a higher base damage than the Jade Cutter, the Jade Cutter was still able to score higher Critical Hits on the Elemental SKill and Elemental Burst.
So, by the testings done in this video, we can put the Jade Cutter's passive into perspective, which is roughly translated as a ~20% ATK% bonus, for my current setup. A bit less than 20% if we compare to The Black Sword's passive, and a bit higher than 20% if we compare to the Prototype Rancour's passive.
So while it's no game braking passive currently since there's no sword character that scales with HP, it's still a reasonable passive for the current characters.
And people with different max HP than my Kaeya can simply compare, mutatis mutandis, to this video and be able to determine how better or worse the Jade Cutter's passive will perform.
So that's why I didn't take CRIT Rate stats into comparison. Like I said, it's not a DPS comparison. But just a damage per hit comparison to put the Jade Cutter's passive into perspective.
