The Bloodlines 2 Team Are Complete Amateurs... (Dialogue System Reveal) | Vampire: The Masquerade
In this overly convoluted dev dairy, we learn that despite the game releasing this year supposedly, they're still constantly going back and forth on in-game systems, this time the dialogue choice system.
Originally, they wanted to allow us to choose our choices more freely. They then decided to dumb it down into the Fallout 4 system. Then after feedback, they changed it to be somewhere in the middle.
While some will like they responded to feedback, to me it seems like they have a complete lack of direction on what the game is meant to be despite it being so close to release. They talk about The Walking Dead by Telltale being an inspiration which further reinforces the fear that this will play like a walking sim in terms of story, with some combat in between.
This is a sequel to a beloved RPG. If it's NOT an RPG, time to do a Dragon Age: The Veilguard and do a last-minute change of the title.
