The Burroughs at the CSU Lagoon Music Series 7-13-16
Since the summer of 2013, The Burroughs have been making people all throughout Northern Colorado get out of their seats and dance like there’s no tomorrow. The Burroughs got their start by covering the classics such as Ray Charles and Etta James. However, it is their upbeat and catchy originals that have molded this group into a league of their own.
The band describes their sound as “sweaty soul music” and their high-energy live shows will undoubtedly live up to this statement. Featuring a four-piece horn section, rhythm section, and front-man Johnny Burroughs commanding the stage, the group’s synergy is a marvel to watch in itself at they perform at the annual Lagoon Music series on the CSU campus.
The performance was recorded by the RAMProductions student live event production team with audio supplied by Rockfan Entertainment. RAMProductions was created by the Department of Journalism and Media Communication at Colorado State University with support from Campus Television (CTV), the College of Liberal Arts, and the Division of External Relations.
