The Callisto Protocol is the debut title from Striking Distance Studios, as a team formed from the remnants of Visceral Studios and Raven Software there are high hopes. Especially when the game director is Glen Schofield, the co-creator of one of the best survival horror games of all time Dead Space.
I was sold on the game from its first reveal back at The Game Awards 2020 but after finishing it I can't help shake the feeling that its true potential is never fully realised.
In this review I detail what works, what doesn't and explain what Striking Distance could have gone to elevate the experience.
