0When the American millionaire Giram Otis acquires the old Canterville Chase castle, he is in no hurry to change something in it. The only problem that the family faces is the presence of the ghost of Sir Simon de Canterville, who lives in the acquired castle.
Giram believes that the problem needs to be solved from a scientific point of view, while, according to his wife Lucretia, this poltergeist will give some charm to their new home and the guests will really like it. And their twin children see in a ghost only an object for persecution.
And only daughter Virginia feels the tragedy of Sir Simon's mysterious situation. Only after the spell breaks and the secret is revealed, Virginia allows herself to give her heart to the dazzling Lord Cheshire.
