Rings of Power is the next addition to the Lord of the Rings franchise we’ve all been waiting for. With stellar performances from actors like Morfydd Clark and Charlie Vickers, we couldn’t wait to dive deep into everything it has to offer. There was so much chaos behind the set, it’s a miracle they were able to deliver this series to us. One of the big things the actors struggled with was the free dive training. They had to learn to hold their breath underwater for minutes at a time – that’s no easy feat. Morfydd Clark says it doesn’t get easier, you just learn how to ignore the pain. Charlie Vickers isn’t a strong swimmer, so it didn’t help that he had so many swimming scenes. The performers really went through the wringer on that set. There were a ton of fun times on the set as well. There were a ton of pranks being pulled on the cast and crew. One in particular was pulled by Maxim Baldry – he pretended to get hurt and filmed it. Markella Kavenagh and Megan Richards were also an iconic duo – constantly singing and performing for the cast members. They built up quite a reputation with their songs. How long do you think the Orcs were in the make-up chair for? Hours and hours – they would arrive to set around midnight every day before the cast would show up around 7 AM. They were also incredibly terrifying! We’ll be getting into all of this and more – so stick around until the end!
