87Platforming games rely on, more-so than anything else, good level design to be successful. Mario's escapades are fun partially thanks to the hero's mighty jumps and interesting power-ups, yes, but without a carefully-crafted world for him to use his abilities in, the character's journeys would not be nearly as memorable as they are. The Donkey Kong Country franchise is one that has consistently raised standards with its level design since it was created, and in this video, I'll be discussing some of my favorite levels present in the franchise's debut title, Donkey Kong Country!
