The CLOSEST DOWN TO THE WIRE BATTLE IN Medieval 2 Total War HISTORY!!!
11In this battle, I am playing as the Aztecs and I am trying to defend myself against a 2000 men Tarascen invasion against one of my settlements. I only had a few units of Eagle Warriors, Aztec Spearmen and Archers to defend it.
It was off to a rough start when a few of their elite units got up onto the walls but my towers and archers did a decent job massacring most of their units when they were outside trying to ram down my gates. But as soon as the gates went down, they poured in all of their troops and it was too much for my units to hold, one by one they started to break and I am left with no choice but to fall back onto the plaza with whatever surviving men I had. I managed to defend the plaza surprisingly well given the fact that now all my units had infinite moral.
As they poured more and more troops onto the plaza, my leftover troops were diminishing. But so were theirs! I managed to destroy almost all of their units until I am left with 1 unit of Archers which had 6 men, and another unit of Archer which had only 1 man. I thought I had won a Pyrrhic victory, but then I realized there was a bug which caused that 1 unit of Eagle Warrior to stand around on my walls and not attacking the plaza. To make things worse, that 1 unit of Eagle Warrior is left with only 1 man. And that man is the CAPTAIN...
