As isolated and lonely as Tarkov may seem, one thing you’ve learned about the various big players in the region is just how well connected they are. Even some of the more unassuming dealers you perform jobs for, such as Therapist, have business dealings and acquaintances in nearly every corner of the region. But some do prefer to work alone. Sergey Arsenyevich Samoylov is one of these people. He prefers to be referred to as simply “Mechanic”, and rather than surround himself with gangsters or foreign diplomats, the Mechanic is perfectly comfortable to spend the majority of his time in his small hideout within the Chemical Factory, surrounded by his tools and computers. But just because he is alone, doesn’t mean he is lonely.
